Kenneth Hannon
Auckland/Northland
Kenneth Hannon has been a Securo Safety Consultant since the beginning of 2005. He joined the Securo team with a strong background in Safety, Quality & Environmental systems management to both national and international standards. During his time with Securo, Kenneth has managed Clients in North, South, East and West Auckland as well as in Northland. He is responsible for assisting more than 200 Clients manage their Health & Safety Systems, including seeing a large percentage of these Clients through to ACC Premium discounts of up to 20%. Kenneth’s Clients include small businesses with less than five staff as well as large multinational companies with one hundred plus staff. Kenneth also is a qualified trainer and has run a number of Health & Safety training courses for his Clients. Feedback from Kenneth’s Clients has been consistently positive as he takes a straightforward and systematic approach to guiding his Clients through Securo’s systems.
Roscoe Tait MNZM
Auckland
Roscoe Tait MNZM joined Securo in 2009 having retired from Nuplex Industries after 25 years service, where he was the New Zealand Safety, Health and Environment Manager for the Nuplex NZ Group. He is qualified with a BSc (Chemistry), BE (Chemistry) and MNZIC and has considerable knowledge and experience in Health & Safety and Environmental matters including:

- ACC WSMP Programmes
- Running H&S Programmes
- Fire Protection Systems and Evacuations
- Resource Management Issues
- HSNO
- Environmental Practices etc.

Dave Calvert
Auckland
Dave Calvert has been a Securo Safety Consultant since 1999. He joined the Securo team with a long history in the steel industry as a Health, Safety and Environmental Professional. Dave founded the New Zealand Safety Council (NZSC) in 2002 and is the current Executive Director. The NZSC’s aim from the outset was to reduce accidents, protect people and promote health in New Zealand. The NZSC also introduced a registration scheme for Health & Safety professionals known as ‘Registered Safety Professional’ (RSP). The RSP concept is being promoted to New Zealand Industry to encourage a safety management competency standard for all safety professionals. Dave manages Securo Clients in Auckland and Manukau. His Clients include some of Securo’s larger businesses. Having worked in the Health & Safety Industry for many years, Dave has also provided considerable technical input into the Securo Health & Safety Manual. Dave is a qualified trainer, and has run a number of Health & Safety training courses for his Clients. Dave is also an Accredited Safety Auditor as well as being a Construction Safety Supervisor.
Murray Belchamber
Waikato
Murray Belchamber has been a Securo Safety Consultant since 2002. He joined Securo with a number of career experiences under his belt including owning and managing his own businesses. Murray was a safety and training officer for Eastland Energy in Gisborne for 8 years during which time he ran a comprehensive Health & Safety system and was responsible for training staff. Murray manages all our Securo Clients in the Waikato region. His Clients include small businesses with less than five staff as well as large businesses. Murray is a fully qualified trainer for Securo products, and has run a number of Health & Safety training courses for his Clients. Murray qualified to Inspect and Test Electrical Appliances and Equipment and has a certificate in Health & Safety Internal Auditor, Current Out-door First Aid and Civil Defence Planning along with qualifications in Safety Management, Safety Resources, Accident Prevention and Worksite Safety.
Mark Taylor
Bay of Plenty
Mark Taylor is the newest addition to the Securo team, starting in April 2010 and is the for the consultant Bay of Plenty area. With over 25 years of managerial, practical and supervisory experience in manufacturing, sales and construction environments Mark is an effective champion of cultural change, with a strong track record as a catalyst for innovation to significantly enhance performance. Mark is always looking for innovative ways to do things, whether using new technology or creative tools and approaches. He utilises and extends both his technical background and managerial expertise to develop revolutionary concepts, which have influenced and advanced the cause of national and regional Health & Safety systems in New Zealand. A self-starter, who is reliable, focused on outcomes and achievement driven with excellent communication, organisational and presentational skills. He is qualified with a CMIOSH, MIM, LCG, MNZISM, MNZSC and RSP and has considerable knowledge and experience in Health & Safety and Environmental areas.
Chris Vickers
Hawkes Bay/ Wellington
Chris Vickers has been a Securo Safety Consultant since the end of 2006. Chris has a strong background in Health & Safety and has been an ACC auditor since 2000. He brings with him a wealth of skills as an ACC auditor that has proved invaluable to Securo and his Clients. Chris is managing Clients from Gisborne to Wellington. He is responsible for managing small business Clients with less than five staff as well as large multinational companies in multiple sites around New Zealand.
Along with being a fully qualified ACC auditor, Chris gained a Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Management from EMA and Massey University in 2004.
Annette Newbery
Palmerston North
Annette Newbery has been a Securo Safety Consultant since 1998. Annette is a NZ Registered Nurse, mid-wife and has specialised in Occupational Health. As a qualified Trainer she also holds a Diploma in Public Health Administration plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
Annette is based in Palmerston North and manages Securo Clients from Palmerston North up through Taranaki as far as New Plymouth. Annette’s Clients include small Companies with less than five staff as well as large businesses. As a qualified trainer, Annette has run a number of Health & Safety training courses for her Clients. Annette is also qualified in Hazardous Materials, Stress Management and in Internal Health & Safety Auditing. She is also a member of the New Zealand Safety Council and an inaugural member of the NZ Occupational Health Nurses Association.
Phil Derry
Nelson
Phil Derry has been a Securo Safety Consultant since 2001. Phil has a strong background in both human and public relations working for many years at management level in the banking industry. He is now one of our most experienced Safety Consultants with over eight years at Securo. Since starting with Securo in 2001, Phil has been based in Nelson and manages Clients throughout the Nelson region. Phil can cater for a Health & Safety system for any sized business and is currently servicing Clients from small business level with less than five staff, through to larger businesses on multiple sites. Phil is a qualified trainer, and has run a number of Health & Safety training courses for his Clients. He is a qualified Health & Safety Internal Auditor and can also do specialised training including motor vehicle safety and stress management.

Janine Haselden
Canterbury/Blenheim
Janine Haselden has been a Securo Safety Consultant since July 2006. Prior to working for Securo Janine established and co-directed Plant Brokers Ltd from 2000 to 2006. The business involved supplying plants for landscape architects, designers as well as commercial and domestic gardeners. During this time Janine and her co-director implemented and maintained their own Health & Safety programme. Throughout her 6 years with Plant Brokers Ltd they were completely accident free.
Since starting with Securo, Janine has taken on over 120 Clients throughout the South Island from North Otago to Marlborough. Janine has picked up her role as a Health & Safety Consultant with ease and brings enthusiasm for the job into each consultation. Janine has a New Zealand Certificate for Health & Safety and a certificate for Farm Safe Awareness. She is also an Approved Handler for Agrichemicals.
Jeremy Haselden
Canterbury
Jeremy Haselden has been a Securo Safety Consultant since 2006. With a farming background, Jeremy has strong, practical hands on skills. These skills have now been developed across a broad spectrum of industry disciplines with
effective Workplace Safety Management Programmes (WSMP) and the AS/NZS 4801
Health & Safety Standard being implemented Following a successful Senior Sales Management role with Boral Ltd (South island and Pacific Islands Sales Manager, including responsibility for Health & Safety), Jeremy formed his own company, providing agriculture services to the farming sector (Soil Testing, Fertiliser & Animal Parasite Remedies) In 2005 Jeremy joined Securo and in partnership with his wife successfully consults to more the 120 Clients in the Canterbury/Marlborough regions.
Jeremy has completed a National Health & Safety Certificate (Nat Cert H&S) Quality Assurance Certificate (CQA) and is a Certified Quality Systems Auditor (QSA).
Jeremy’s strengths lie in developing and implementing the most appropriate Health & Safety Standard for each and every company given size, process and risk. Compliancy and compliancy resolution work under the HSE Act 1992 and Regulations 1995 is also an area of strength.

Janice Norman-Oke
Southland/Otago
Janice Norman-Oke has been a Securo Safety Consultant since 2007 and is the Otago Southland area representative. Janice studied Law and Psychology at Otago University and after graduating in 2002 worked as a litigation lawyer for 5 years, with experience in Criminal, Employment and ACC cases. Janice developed an interest in Health & Safety after becoming a mother to two small children and living on a lifestyle block. She loves to help her Clients create their own health safety systems and create safe working environments for their employees. Due to her background in law, Janice brings a unique perspective to the Securo team in her ability to explain complex matters in simple everyday terms.
